More ways to work with your files

The Files widget just got more powerful, with new features that make it easier for users and admins to organize, upload, and access content. You can now add custom columns to show the metadata that matters most, navigate file locations in a dialog, and work faster with improved context menus and drag‑and‑drop uploads.

Add custom columns

Admins can now display custom columns in the Files widget. This means you can surface key metadata from your SharePoint libraries—such as status, owner, or custom tags—directly in the view. It gives you more control over how content is presented, making it easier for users to understand what they’re looking at without needing to open each file.

New context menus for sites and drives

Sites and drives now come with an improved context menu, allowing you to open the location in a dialog, launch it in a new browser tab, or quickly copy a link. These options make it easier to manage and share content in the way that works best for you.

Upload files with drag and drop

Need to add a file quickly? You can now upload files by simply dragging them onto the widget. This small but welcome improvement removes unnecessary steps and helps you keep your board up to date with the latest documents in seconds.

These updates are part of our ongoing work to make working with files in Ichicraft Boards faster, more flexible, and better aligned with the way your organization works. More enhancements are already on the way.
